The airspace within Budapest FIR between FL 290 and FL 410 inclusive, as described in ENR 2.1, is EUR RVSM airspace.

All aircraft operating above 9500 FT AMSL in Budapest FIR shall be equipped with 8.33 KHZ channel spacing capable radio equipment.
In accordance with para 4.1.2.Temporary exemption is granted for State aircraft to operate 8.33 kHz channel spacing radio equipment in Budapest FIR on condition that such flight establish and maintain two way radio communication contact with the appropriate ATS Unit (Sector) on one of the followingUHF frequency - in the band 252,600225,000 - 400,000 MHZ and 292,400 MHz –as instructed by ATC.
The UHF coverage extends to the airspace above FL 100 within Budapest FIR.

4.2. Any aircraft being vectored by radar away from the cleared route and experiencing two-way radio communication failure, shall proceed in the most direct manner, to the route specified in the current flight plan.
